Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Free Download Overview in 2022
Besides, Windows possibly has the largest library of third party applications and software than any other OS currently present. Notable Windows 7 Professional Features
With all the great features of Windows 7 Home, the professional version of the OS offers a lot of extras that make it a worthy upgrade over its predecessors. And since it’s in the name, I don’t believe I have to state the obvious that most of these new features are for professional users. Let’s have a look at some of the features that really make the Windows 7 Professional 2022 stand out.
Support For Multiple Hard Drives
One of the most awaited features of Windows 7 professional is the dynamic disks support. In simple terms, it can run and manage multiple hard drives on a single machine. This is especially ideal for organizations or businesses that require a separate machine to act as a server or just run a RAID set up.
File and Folder Encryption
If you store critical data on your system like client information or your business’s financial information, Windows 7 Professional also offers EFS for additional security. EFS or the Encrypting File System allows you individually encrypt files or folders (or both if need be) to protect them from any unauthorized access.
Location-Aware Printing
Another feature targeted toward corporate clients is the Location-Aware Printing. In a corporate environment, you have several printers connected to a server machine. This feature enables you to select any one of the printers for the job, based on their location.
Presentation Mode
As the name suggests, Presentation Mode exactly does that. When active, it turns off most of the features of windows while giving you more control over things like display, volume, etc.
Group Policy
Group policy goes hand in hand with the RAID feature of Windows 7 Professional. It gives you administrative control over all aspects of the operating system under a networking environment. You can even create client and server machines using the Group Policy.
Offline Folder and Files Redirection
Yet another feature for networking environment, the offline files and folder redirection does a lot more than just what its name suggests. For example, Folder Redirection allows a system administrator to move or redirect any folder on any machine to any other connected to the same network. Offline Files, on the other hand, enables the system administrator to grant access to the client computer to certain files even when the server is offline or the network connection is really slow.
Windows Domain Access
Windows 7 Professional also has Windows Domain Access enabled right after installation. The domain access feature is great for large organizations and schools as they have a huge system network. It grants access to individual PCs connected to a larger network from a single location. This feature is very useful for corporations that allow their employees to work from remote locations but want them to stay connected to their servers.
Legacy Windows XP Mode
This will attract those users who are having a hard time letting go of Windows XP. The legacy compatibility mode allows you to run Windows XP in Windows 7 Professional. No, it doesn’t actually run Windows XP on your machine. What it actually does is that it tricks older programs into thinking that they’re running on Windows XP, giving you compatibility with programs that don’t support newer versions of the OS. System Requirements
If you want to run Windows 7 Professional on your computer, this is what you need to have under the hood at the very least:
- 1 GHz processor with x64 support
- 20 GB of free hard drive storage space
- DirectX 9 graphics support
While all these requirements are for the 64-bit version of the OS, some may vary a little if you wish to run the 32-bit variant.
